Megumi will present “Japanese Ghost Stories,” a fun and spooky program suitable for all ages, on Friday, June 27, at two locations: 11:30 a.m. at the John Steinbeck Library, 350 Lincoln Ave. in Salinas. Megumi will tell two stories about the internment of Japanese Americans, “Baachan’s Shells” and “Jack’s Sketches,” on Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m. as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the National Steinbeck Center, 1 Main St. in Salinas.
A photo exhibit entitled “Heroes All: Nisei Veterans of World War II and Korea” will be on view in the Art and Cultural Gallery.
Activities are free with admission to the museum: $10.95 for adults, $8.95 for seniors over 62, students with ID, and military with ID; $7.95 for youth 13-17; $5.95 for children 6-12; free for children 5 and under; and free for Monterey County residents with valid ID.
