Carl Kanki Oda, 86, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 14.

He is survived by Masayo, his wife of 37 years; brother Masami “Sam” Oda; sister Haruko “Mary” Ota; predeceased by brother Hayaji “Hike” Oda.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Berkeley Buddhist Temple, 2121 Channing Way in Berkeley.
