Irene Kiyo Furusho, 76, passed away on Sept. 4, 2008 at 4:45 a.m. at home in San Francisco. She was born in San Francisco on Dec. 2, 1931.

Surviving are: sons, Michael Yakuma and Steve Yakuma; granddaughter, Laura Yakuma; grandson, Daniel Yakuma; stepsons, David, Michael and Randy Furusho; and stepdaughter, Gail Tong.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, at 4 p.m. at San Francisco Buddhist Church, 1881 Pine St., San Francisco.
