Seikichi “Curly” Maeda, 81, of San Francisco passed away due to heart failure on July 4, 2008 at Kaiser Hospital. He was born in Hawaii and was the owner of Curly’s Coffee Shop in North Beach.

Surviving are: wife, Yoko Maeda; son, Jason Maeda, and his wife, Nozomi Matsumoto; daughter, Caroline Miki Yaran, and her husband, Paul David Yaran; a grandson, Rhys Koji Yaran; and brothers.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 13, at 3:30 p.m. at Halstead N. Gray-Carew & English, 1123 Sutter St., San Francisco, CA 94109.
