 <title>Play Reading at NJAHS</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The National Japanese American Historical Society, located at 1684 Post St. in San Francisco’s Japantown, will hold a play reading and book signing event on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Featured in the reading from the play “The Betrayed” by Hiroshi Kashiwagi will be Hiroshi Shimizu and Sue Asano. Shimizu is a popular leader of numerous community organizations in San Francisco, while Asano is a former member of the Center Players of San Francisco. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Following the reading, Kashiwagi will be signing copies of his latest book, “Shoe Box Plays.”&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;SAN JOSE — Yu-Ai Kai/Japanese American Community Senior Service, located at 4th and Jackson streets in San Jose Japantown, will be hosting a poetry reading by author Emi Tsutsumi on Friday, Nov. 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tsutsumi, who will be visiting from Japan, is a former radio announcer and the author of such books as “Everything Is Going to Be All Right,” “The Power of Poetry Reading,” and several poetry books, including “Miracle,” “Angel,” and “To All Songs in the World.” She has also translated such books as “Time of Innocence” and “Left to Tell.”&lt;/p&gt;

 <description>&lt;p&gt;BERKELEY — Hiroshi Kashiwagi, author of the recently published “Shoe Box Plays,” will conduct a play reading and book signing at  Berkeley Buddhist Temple, 2121 Channing Way, on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. following the morning services.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Haruko Nagaishi and Yuki Kawaguchi, both formerly with the Center Players of San Francisco, will be featured in the reading from Kashiwagi’s play “The Betrayed.” After the reading, a reception and book signing will be held in the Social Hall.&lt;/p&gt;
