Kimochi, Inc. will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Sansei Live!” at the San Francisco Presidio Officers’ Club on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight.
“Sansei Live!” began as a way to introduce younger generations to Kimochi’s senior services and to promote philanthropy among young people.
Giving can happen in many ways, at any age. Through this annual gala, Kimochi has cultivated a strong network of supporters and volunteers, individuals who give of their expertise, as well as those who support the organization’s programs through monetary donations — all in support of Bay Area seniors.
This year’s “Sansei Live!” will again be hosted by KTVU-TV reporter Robert Handa. There will be live music by the Kimochi All-Star Band featuring Derek Evans, Full Circle and DJ John Jow. Noted chefs from local restaurants will give cooking demonstrations.
Ticket prices are $75 for general admission and $20 at the door after 9 p.m.
This year’s co-chairs are Kimochi Executive Director Steve Nakajo and Amy Sujishi.
